Kick Start Diet

If you’re like most people, you’ve likely tried various forms of dieting, to no avail. Many people who are looking for a quick fix to their weight issues turn to the Kick Start Diet. Its full name is the Kick Start Soup Diet. Many variations of this diet exist, but most have a common thread of consuming only soup and beverages for a particular length of time. Keep in mind that you should only diet if you are healthy enough to diet, and please make wise choices in choosing your diet foods. During the Kick Start program, you will learn how to make the Kick Start diet soup, follow  a seven day eating plan, consume allowed drinks, and participate in required exercise. Here’s what you can expect:

Stage One
Stage one consists of a specific regimen for 7 days:

Stage Two
Staying on the diet in stage one for longer than two weeks is not recommended. After the initial two weeks, begin adding carbohydrates to your diet again, however, this should be down slowly and with great care. Ideally, the best carbs to include in your diet are those with a glycemic index of 55 or less. During stage two, you are now able to eat more proteins, and begin to incorporate more oil in your recipes. Exercise is still important in this stage. Again, it is vital to remember to do everything in moderation. Don’t overexert yourself.

Possible Side Effects
If you don’t eat enough carbohydrates, you glucose levels can drop, which may lead to hypoglycemia. You may also experience headaches, sweatiness, anxiety, irritability, and drowsiness. If you feel any of these, you may eat small meals every few hours to combat the symptoms. If side effects persist, consult a doctor.

As with all short-term diets, results will vary. The best diet tips are to change your overall lifestyle habits over time, drink plenty of water, get regular exercise and incorporate more healthful foods into your daily menus. While the kickstart diet will likely help you shed pounds in the short term, without making permanent changes in your habits, the weight is likely to return.
