Avocado Calories

The avocado tree is native to Mexico and areas with tropical climates, but also grows in temperate climate areas like California.  It is in the same flowering plant family as cinnamon.  It is a fruit because of its large seed and is also referred to as the alligator pear because of its rough skin.  Avocado calories come from their fat content, but the avocado is chock-full of nutritional value.
